ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team hosts Mansfield in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game Wednesday, October 3. The match is set for a 4 p.m. start at Tullio Field.

The Lakers have a 3-8 overall record and a 1-4 mark in the PSAC. They split two home outings last weekend, beating Kutztown and losing to #1 West Chester.
Marissa Faso scored a goal in both games, increasing her team-high total to five for the year.
Mansfield is 4-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference. It lost to #7 Millersville and beat #3 Bloomsburg at home last weekend. Taryn Schawillie scored two goals in the upset of the Huskies. The Mountaineers also snapped a seven-match losing streak with the victory.
Faso paces the Lakers with five goals and four assists, while
Meghan Smith has three goals and two assists.
Jess Wess has made 96 saves in 10 games in net, compiling a .762 save percentage. Her save total is third-most in NCAA Division II.
