ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team hosts #18 Indiana (Pa.) Saturday, January 21, at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest is slated for a 1 p.m. tip-off.

Hurst dropped its second straight game Wednesday, January 18, falling 57-56 to #25 Gannon on a last-second layup by Jen Papich.
Megan Hoffman led the Lakers with 15 points on four three-pointers-all in the second half.
Dana Banda added 11 points and eight assists, while
Nikki Frederickson totaled nine points and 12 boards.
The Crimson Hawks (13-2, 9-2 PSAC) also lost their last game to a ranked opponent, losing 71-45 to #3 Edinboro January 18. Senior Sarah Pastorek leads IUP in several categories, including scoring (13.3), rebounding (7.8), and blocked shots (9), and steals (33). She is also shooting over 50 percent from the field. Indiana is a young team, with four freshmen and a sophomore in the rotation. Indiana leads the conference in scoring defense at 52.3 points per game and field goal percentage defense (33.4 percent).
On the year, Mercyhurst is 8-7 overall and 6-5 in the PSAC. It won eight of nine contests before its last two outings. Freshman
Lindsay Stamp leads the team with 13.0 points per game, while Frederickson is scoring 12.1 points and grabbing 6.9 rebounds a contest.
