ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team dropped to Clarion in three sets Saturday afternoon at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Golden Eagles took the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest by scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-23.
The Eagles played well early, hitting .250 as a team in the opening set. They made just one attack error in the frame.
In the second set, Clarion (8-6, 5-1 PSAC) controlled play again, limiting the Lakers to -.156 hitting. Hurst (9-7, 3-3 PSAC) was more competitive in the third game, but a late run by the visitors sealed the match.
Kiera Rebert led Mercyhurst with 16 assists and
Elyse Texido had 15 digs.
