EDINBORO, Pa. - Edinboro scored four second half goals Saturday night as the Fighting Scots knocked off Mercyhurst 4-0. The Lakers dropped to 4-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in PSAC play. Meanwhile, Edinboro improved to 5-1-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the conference.
Jenna Madison of Edinboro scored twice to lead the Fighting Scots.
The teams played to a first half draw before Edinboro opened up the scoring just three minutes into the second half. Madison netted her first goal of the evening at the 48:43 mark. Six minutes later Becca Costello scored the Fighting Scots second goal. Madison hit the back of the net once more at the 60:51 mark on a pass from Karisa Fernandez. Edinboro added a late goal to conclude the scoring.
The Lakers were outshot 18-6. Both teams had one corner.
The Lakers are back in action next week against Slippery Rock.
