CLARION, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball lost in straight sets at Clarion Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles won by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 29-27 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division match.
Clarion hit .246 in the contest, including a .407 attack rate in the second set. Hurst was held to a .082 hitting percentage in the loss.
Amanda Balasko led with 10 kills and nine digs.
Kiera Rebert recorded 23 assists and
Elyse Texido had 16 digs in the back row.
The Lakers dropped to 13-14 overall and 6-9 in the conference.
Mercyhurst returns to the court Tuesday, October 25. It hosts Ursuline in a non-league match at the MAC. A box score of the Mercyhurst-Clarion match will be available later this weekend.
