EDINBORO, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team lost in three sets at Edinboro Tuesday night. The Fighting Scots won by scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-14 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West match.
Edinboro came out hot, hitting .235 in the opening set. Hurst attacked at a .185 rate, but it wasn't enough, as the Scots took a tight game. The second set was more of the same, with Boro having finishing kick again. The home team controlled the third frame on its way to the sweep.
Gretta Freyermuth had seven kills and
Chelsea Hennigan had 13 assists.
Elyse Texido totaled 11 digs for the visitors.
Mercyhurst dropped to 12-11 overall and 5-7 in the PSAC. Edinboro improved to 18-4 overall and 10-2 in the league.
