ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst College men's basketball team plays at cross town rival Gannon in a key PSAC West matchup Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. No pre-sale tickets will be available for the event. Tickets will go on sale at the Hammermill Center when the doors open at 4:30 p.m. Fans unable to attend can follow the action through a live stats, live audio, or live video.
The Lakers (17-8, 7-5 PSAC West) and Golden Knights (11-14, 6-6 PSAC West) hold the final two PSAC postseason spots at present. Mercyhurst is one game out of second place in the division, trailing Clarion, and can clinch a berth in the PSAC tournament with a win in either of the last two games of the season.
Mercyhurst claimed the first meeting between the two teams this season, winning 58-46 Feb. 3 at the MAC.
Heiden Ratner led Mercyhurst with a game-high 16 points, while
Christian Cornelius netted 14. Gannon tied the game at 39-39 in the second half, but converted just one field goal over the final nine minutes of play. George Johnson paced GU with 16 points.
