ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst College men's basketball team plays at Lock Haven Saturday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. The Lakers will attempt to continue their late-season charge to the postseason. Fans unable to attend can follow the action through a live video webcast.
The Lakers (16-8, 6-5, t3rd PSAC West) and Bald Eagles (6-16, 3-8, 8th PSAC West) meet for the 12th time, with Mercyhurst holding an 8-3 edge in the all-time series. Mercyhurst is one game out of second place in the division, trailing Clarion, while Lock Haven is eighth in the PSAC West. The Lakers beat Clarion Wednesday, while Lock Haven has lost three consecutive games after a triple-overtime victory at Edinboro.
Mercyhurst claimed the first meeting between the two teams this season, winning 73-65 Jan. 23 at the MAC.
Heiden Ratner led Mercyhurst with a career-high 26 points. Lock Haven surged in the second half, and was led by Eric Brennan's 20 points and 10 rebounds. The two teams split the season series a year ago, with each team winning on their home court.
