KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College field hockey team fell behind early as No. 5 Kutztown scored three times in the first half en route to a 4-0 win over the Lakers on Saturday afternoon in Kutztown, Pa. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 4-13 on the season, while the Golden Bears improve to 10-7.
Jenna Gregory led the Kutztown attack with two goals during its three-goal outburst in the first half. Gregory found the back of the cage at 15:34 and 19:34 before Kim Angstadt capped the run at 22:40.
Julie Rosenkaimer closed out the game when she scored off an assist from Imani Ferguson at the 56:44 mark.
Kutztown finished the game with a 24-5 advantage in shots and had an 8-6 lead in penalty corners. Junior

Jessica Richards each played a half in goal, with Wiskup starting the game and making six saves in the first. Richards equaled Wiskup's save total in the second half and allowed one goal.
Mercyhurst plays its final two games of the season at home this week, beginning with a non-conference contest against Seton Hill on Monday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m.
