CLARION, Pa. -- At Clarion, Kellie Bartman registered a game-high 15 kills to lead the host Golden Eagles past Mercyhurst, 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 26-24).

Clarion improved to 24-3 overall, 15-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference while Mercyhurst dropped to 15-13 overall, 7-9 in the PSAC.

The Lakers suffered a slow night offensively, hitting just .035 on the night as a unit.  Chelsea Jensen led the team with eight kills while Becky Leusch added six kills and Erin English deposited four.  Kiera Rebert guided the offense with 13 assists while libero Kendall Ashworth added three aces in addition to her team-high 11 digs.  Six different Lakers recorded blocks in the defensive effort, with Justine Smith and Becky Smith totaling two each.

Mercyhurst returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, October 30 at Slippery Rock.  Game-time is set for 3 p.m.
