Women's Tennis Falls 6-3 to Ashland

Courtney Conway and Kim Ezzo won in doubles Saturday.

Erie, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's tennis team dropped their match to Ashland University, 6-3, Saturday at the Westwood Racquet Club. The Lakers are now 6-3 on the year, while the Eagles hold a 12-5 record.

#Kim Ezzo# paced the Lakers with a pair of victories, defeating Paoloa Orozco, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1 singles, and also teamed with #Courtney Conway# to claim the only doubles victory of the meet for the Lakers at No. 2. Ezzo and Conway defeated Orozco and Corinne Pasley 8-2 in doubles.

Mercyhurst's Natalie Iovino beat Alex Ware, 4-6, 6-4 (10-3) in No. 6 singles.

Mercyhurst will play five matches in Hilton Head, S.C. from March 1 through March 5. The Lakers will face PSAC opponent East Stroudsburg March 1 and Bloomsburg March 5.
