Millersville, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College field hockey team saw its four-game winning streak come to a halt as Millersville pinned a 5-2 setback on the Lakers Saturday morning at Biemsderfer Stadium in Millersville, Pa. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 6-8 overall while Millersville improves to 5-8 on the season.

Emily Warren continued her offensive assault, scoring two goals to give her seven in the past three games and 11 on the season.
After falling behind, 1-0, early in the game, Warren brought the Lakers back into contention with back-to-back tallies just 26 seconds apart.
Millersville would respond though, adding two goals courtesy of Krista Testa along with a strike from Julie Garber to take a 4-2 advantage into halftime.
The Mauraders' defense sealed the game in the second half, holding the Lakers scoreless while tacking on an insurance marker later in the frame.
Mercyhurst returns home on Monday, Oct. 14 to host Catawba at Tullio Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
