Kristen Fogle and
Emily Warren netted back-to-back goals just 31 seconds apart to lift the Mercyhurst College field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Seton Hill Wednesday afternoon in Greensburg, Pa.
The Lakers (3-7) overcame a 1-0 deficit with under eight minutes to play in the second half to down the Griffins for the first time since 2006.
Fogle tied the game at 1-1 with her first goal of the season coming at the 63:05 mark while Warren provided the go-ahead score at 63:36 thanks to an assist from sophomore
Sara Wowkowych.
Senior
Jennifer Coleman registered the win in goal with four saves.
Mercyhurst outshot Seton Hill, 13-7, and held the advantage in penalty corners, 15-3.
The Lakers return home for the first time in four games to host Mansfield on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m.
