Georger brings a great deal of big school experience and national exposure to the Lakers program.

The Erie-native Georger graduated from the University of Michigan in early 2016 with excellent marks both athletically and academically. In her four-year career with the Michigan swim team, Georger was Big-Ten finalist in three different events: the 200 Individual Medley (IM), 400 IM, and 200 backstroke.

Georger earned Academic All-Big Ten Honors in 2015-16 and was a three-time recipient of the U-M Athletic Academic Achievement award (2013, 2015-16). She graduated with a degree in General Studies.

Prior to Michigan Georger to qualified and competed in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Swim Trials. She placed 23rd in the 200m backstroke. She also competed at U.S. Nationals in 2013-15, placing as high as 11th in the 400 IM and 13th in the 200 backstroke.

Georger was one of the most decorated high school athletes in Erie’s history while at Mercyhurst Preparatory School. She was a five-time state champion, a four-time District 10 Athlete of the Year as named by the Erie Times News, and the 2012 Erie Times news Varsity Cup Female Athlete of the Year. She also competed in the U.S. Junior National Championships in 2008-2009.

Georger graduated from Mercyhurst with degrees in Business and Finance along with General Studies and also received her Master’s Degree from Mercyhurst in Organizational Leadership with a focus in Human Resource Development.
