Biography

As a Sophomore (2025-26)
  • Appeared in all 34 games, finishing with 394 points on 170-of-292 shooting, 50-of-86 free throws and 4-of-18 on 3-pointers; led the team with 73 offensive rebounds, 164 defensive rebounds, 237 total rebounds and 82 blocks, while adding 35 assists and 31 steals.
  • Knocked down a season-high 2 3-pointers on 2-for-4 shooting from deep at Loyola Chicago on Nov. 6.
  • Blocked a season-high 6 shots at Wagner on Jan. 10.
  • Handed out a season-high 5 assists vs. Saint Francis on Feb. 5.
  • Scored a season-high 25 points vs. LIU on Feb. 21, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and 5-for-6 from the line.
  • Grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds at LIU on March 10, including a season-best 12 defensive rebounds.

Prior to Mercyhurst
Was named Second Team C.H.S.A.A All League C.H.S.A.A. in his  junior year and First Team C.H.S.A.A. All League his senior year. Was named the Jaques Award, given to the Staten Island Player of the Year, in both his junior and senior seasons, averaging 18.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game during the 2023-24 campaign.

Son of Sharice and Kareem Martin ... Has six siblings, Phil, Kareem Jr, Hassan, Malik, Talib, and Salim. Four of which have played basketball in college with Hassan and Malik both playing for Rhode Island, Kareem at Grandview, and Phil at Cal Riverside.
