Courey Schaetzle enters her second year on the staff at Mercyhurst University. She will again serve as the Athletic Trainer for the Women's Ice Hockey team as well as supervise the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers with the Laker Baseball and Softball programs. Schaetzle coordinates all aspects of pre-participation physicals and is in charge of all inventory and supplies ordering.
Schaetzle graduated from Mercyhurst University with a bachelor''s degree in Athletic Training and a pre-Physical Therapy minor. Following her undergraduate career Schaetzle completed an Exercise Science Masters at Mercyhurst.
While obtaining her masters degree, Schaetzle served as the Athletic Trainer for the Field Hockey and Softball teams. After graduation, she worked as a Certified Intern Athletic Trainer at Duke University.
