Megan Hoffman

Megan Hoffman starts her fifth year on the Mercyhurst coaching staff. After spending her first two seasons as a graduate assistant (2012-14), Hoffman was made a full time assistant coach in the 2014-15 season.

The Lakers program enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history in 2016-17. Mercyhurst qualified for its first NCAA Tournament since 1994-95 and won 25 games against just 8 losses. The Lakers were one of the best all-around teams in the country averaging 69.0 points per game while allowing just 59.7 per game. The Lakers were also the best rebounding team in the PSAC last season, with a +5.9 rebounding margin under Hoffman's guidance.

Hoffman, a 2012 Mercyhurst graduate, had a solid playing career. The Villa Maria product ended her career as one of the top shooters in program history.

She shot 35.4 percent from three-point range in her career and recorded 137 triples in 387 attempts, all among the best in school history.

As a Mercyhurst senior, Hoffman averaged 8.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. On senior night, Hoffman helped the Lakers orchestrate the biggest win in regular season school history. Mercyhurst defeated second-ranked and previously undefeated Edinboro  59-58 in overtime. Hoffman made the game-winning free throw with 13 seconds remaining.
