Andrew Monti joins Mercyhurst with a strong background in physical performance coaching, having previously worked with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Memphis, Miami University, and Presbyterian University. His experience in developing strength programs and overseeing weight room renovations, particularly at Presbyterian, has prepared him well for his role at Mercyhurst.
During the 2022-23 season, Coach Monti played a key role in performance programming for the University of Miami's men's basketball team, which achieved a remarkable 29-8 record and reached the Final Four before falling to UConn. His expertise in performance enhancement is expected to provide a significant competitive advantage for the Lakers as they transition to Division I.
