Ali Gorrell

Ali Gorrell brings a unique and valuable perspective to the Mercyhurst Women's Basketball team. Previously serving as a remote volunteer, Ali has now taken on an elevated role within the program as the Mental Performance Coach. Her new position will allow her to work closely with players and staff, both in individual sessions and team settings, to enhance mental resilience and performance.
Head Coach Brooklyn Kohlheim expressed her enthusiasm for Ali's expanded role: "Our entire program loves working with Ali. We are thrilled that she not only wants to continue her relationship with us but also take on an increased role within our program. Ali will now have more direct access to our players and staff, which I believe is a tremendous asset for our team. Her presence around the program will significantly benefit everyone involved."
Having relocated to Erie, Ali's accessibility to the team will provide consistent support and guidance, ensuring that the athletes' mental well-being is prioritized alongside their physical training. Her experience and dedication to mental performance will play a crucial role in helping the team navigate the challenges of transitioning to Division I.
Ali shared her excitement about the new role: "I am incredibly excited to take on this increased role with Mercyhurst Women's Basketball. The opportunity to work more closely with the team and contribute to their mental and emotional growth is something I am very passionate about. I look forward to being more present and accessible to support the players and staff in any way I can."
