Alyssa Diacono enters her second season as the graduate assistant coach for the women’s Water Polo teams in 2019-20. Diacono is a graduate of San Diego State University ’17 where she earned a B.S. in Public Health (Health Sciences).
Coach Diacono played professionally for the Torpedoes in Perth, Australia during the 2017-18 season. At San Diego State University she was named the SDSU Female Student- Athlete of the Year. She was named an Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American twice and an ACWPC Academic All-American four times. Diacono is a four-time Golden Coast Conference All-Academic Team member a two-time GCC All-Tournament Team member and a three-time GCC All-Conference Player.
The Viejo, Calif native, also coached at Tesoro High School, from the 241 Water Polo Club and SET since 2013.
