Jones enters his first year with the Lakers in 2024, being named the Inside Linebackers Coach.
Most recently, Jones coached at Quincy University, instructing their sprint football team with the Hawks having one of the better defenses in the country over the course of multiple years, leading the way in rush defense, pass defense, points per game allowed, third down percentage, and fourth down percentage at various times during his tenure.
Jones began his time on the sidelines at Helias Catholic High School in Jefferson City, Mo. where he spent three seasons as Offensvie Skill Position Intern, Assistant Defensive Backs Coach, and Outside Linebackers Coach. Over the course of his tenure at Helias, Jones developed data entry skills through film breakdown, building weekly scouting reports, player evaluations, and film tagging while helping with substitutions for both the special teams and defensive units.
Jones is a graduate of Lincoln University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration while earning his Master's in Sport Management in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Liberty University.
