2012: Competed in five events in her first season at Mercyhurst...placed 22nd at the Race in the Park, crossing the line in 22:39...was the best Laker finisher at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships, placing 105th overall with a time of 24:08...was the second-fastest Mercyhurst runner at the PSAC Championships, finishing in 107th place (26:22)...also competed at Roberts Wesleyan and at Westfield State

Prior To Mercyhurst: Participated in cross country at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

High School: Ran cross country at Conneaut High School...was a two-time First Team All-Conference selection and was a regional qualifier...earn Most Valuable Player Award in 2008.

Personal: Born September 7, 1990...majoring in public history...daughter of Jerry and Sue Fertig...has two brothers, Cooper and Clay.
