2024: Appeared in 16 games, starting in each of the for the Lakers. Finished with 20 ground balls to her line for the seventh-most on the team, recording at least one ground ball in seven-straight games from 4/10/24 to 5/3/24 with multiple ground balls in six of those game including four-straight to end the season. Finished with 18 caused turnovers to tie for the team-lead.

2023: Saw action in 12 games with starts in seven of them. Scored her first career goal against IUP on 4/12/23. Had multiple ground balls in three games with a season-high of four on 4/8/23 against Lock Haven.

2022: Appeared in and started in all 20 games on defense, registered 16 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers which was second best on the team. On 3/16 against Slippery Rock she recorded three ground balls and three caused turnovers, both season highs.

2021: Appeared in 13 games, making nine starts as a rookie.  She totaled nine ground balls, caused nine turnovers and two draw control wins as a defender.  In the PSAC Quarterfinal against IUP on May 1st VanRiper recorded two ground balls and forced three turnovers.  

Major: Social Work

Prior to Mercyhurst:  Was a multi-sport athlete at Horseheads High School where she participated in lacrosse and indoor track and field.  She helped the Blue Raiders to capture three Sectional Championships in 2017, 2018 and 2019. On the track she was fourth in the Sectional meet. At the club level she played for Lady Roc and the Under Armour All-America uncommitted team.  

Personal:  Daughter of William and Jody VanRiper ... Has two siblings, brothers Brandon Donovan and Jared Tocci ... Brandon was a member of the lacrosse program at SUNY Potsdam.
