ERIE, Pa. – Mercyhurst cross country head coach Mike Williamson is excited to release the 2026 schedule. The men and women's squads will compete in six events culminating in the NEC Championship meet hosted by LIU at the end of October.
 
The Lakers kick off the season in Erie, hosting the Race in the Park Sept. 1.
 
The team stays local, traveling to Edinboro for the Doug Watts Open Sept. 5.
 
Sept. 26, the Lakers make the trip east to take on the Lock Haven Invitational.
 
To kick off the month of October, the Lakers are set to compete in the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
 
As a final tune up before the NEC Championship meet, Mercyhurst will run in the Canisius Alumni Classic Oct. 17 ahead of the conference meet Oct. 31.
