MARTIN, Tenn.  – The Mercyhurst STUNT team traveled to UT Martin for the MAWC Championship this weekend. Today, they took on No. 5 Central Arkansas. The Lakers led for the entirety of the game and went on to win, 27-12. 
 
The first half of today's game was slow. Both sides were trying to build their way into the game and pick routines that would warm them up enough. The Lakers did just enough to maintain a 6-3 lead at the half. 
 
Things remained close throughout the jumps and tumbling quarter, which is usually a quarter Mercyhurst dominates. It was the fourth quarter where the Lakers truly began to pull away. They consistently earned points in almost every round. The two teams shared points in the early stages and then the Sugar Bears called a full timeout to figure out a game plan. However, MU was at the top of their game. They executed each routine with precision and went on to defeat Central Arkansas, 27-12.
