COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio - The Mercyhurst Equestrian team showcased strong performances over the weekend at Stonegate. The Lakers had a doubleheader Saturday and hosted their annual home show Saturday afternoon.

In the morning show, Grace Denton placed 1^st in Fences and 6^th in her flat class.  At the Mercyhurst show, Denton placed 2^nd in fences and 1^st on the flat to earn High Point Rider of the day. Jeannette Baker placed 4^th in her fences classes and 6th in her flat class and 6^th in fences and 4th on the flat at the Mercyhurst show.  Cheyenne McGuire placed 3^rd in her flat class. 

On Sunday, Denton added a 3^rd and 4^th to her points, Baker added a 2^nd and 5^th place finish while McGuire added a 1^st.  With these placings, Denton pointed out of her division and has qualified for Regionals, along with Baker and McGuire.

They stayed in a close 5^th place for the season with the season winding down.
