NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – The Mercyhurst STUNT team competed in day three of the Music City Classic, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene. The Lakers took down No. 4 UT Martin on Thursday before falling to No. 1 Cal Baptist. Yesterday, they fell to No. 6 Missouri State in a high-scoring affair, 30-21. Today, they played No. 7 Central Arkansas and earned their highest point total in program history. They defeated the Sugar Bears, 33-22. 
 
Mercyhurst began the day perfecting their partner stunt routines. Central Arkansas was competing well, but the Lakers had the edge. They consistently earned points and held on to their lead for the entirety of the game. Their two-point rounds were the difference today. They had very limited errors and were executing routines in each quarter better than the Sugar Bears. They continued to dominate through the fourth quarter and earned a program-high total points, 33. This was their tenth win of the season, and they improve to 3-2 in MAWC play. 
 
The Lakers will return home for their next set of matches. These will take place on Saturday, March 28 at 1 and 4 p.m.
