BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The NEC released their preseason coaches poll for the 2026-27 women's bowling season this afternoon. To start the year, the Mercyhurst women's bowling team have been placed at third with familiar foes Niagara and Duquesne sitting in second and first respectively.

After finishing as the runner-up at the NEC Championship last spring, the Lakers look to continue their strong play behind the performances of returners Tia Germanich, Briana Provenzano, and Mackensie Livingston among others.

Last season, the Lakers were placed in fourth to start the year, making this year a one-spot improvement for the team.
