SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's tennis team traveled to the courts of Bucknell to face off against the Bisons on Saturday. After commendable performances throughout the Fall semester, the Lakers were looking to start the Spring semester in the win column as they prepare for NEC competition.

In singles competition, each Laker competitor fell to their opponents within 2 sets, but
Colm Schultz managed to come away with a 1-2 record. Schultz lost by a score of 6-4 before managing to secure a win in his second set at 7-5 before eventually falling to Bucknell 10-5 in the final set.

In doubles competition, the team consisting of
Petar Belosevic and Schultz fell by a score of 6-0 while
Danylo Rekun and
Lukas Cabue Valverde lost 6-3. The team of
David Mengher and
Mykhailo Polishchuk went the distance, but ultimately fell 6-4.

The Lakers fell by an overall score of 7-0.

The Blue and Green will next travel to Happy Valley as they take on the Penn State Nittany Lions Saturday, February 14.
