Men's Golf is on the Road for The Binghamton Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational

Erie, P.A.– The Binghamton Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational is set to take place on October 4th and 5th at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y. This annual two-day golf tournament will feature the host team, the Binghamton Bearcats, alongside 12 other collegiate teams. The event will begin with the first round teeing off at 9 a.m. on Sunday, followed by the final round on Monday, also starting at 9 a.m. Both days will feature double tee times.

Participating teams include Bucknell, Canisius, Iona, La Salle, Lafayette, Laval, Le Moyne, Mercyhurst, Saint Peter's, St. Bonaventure, Trinity College, and Wagner. This diverse lineup promises a competitive field as teams and individual golfers aim for top honors in the 36-hole tournament.

A notable storyline to watch is the performance of Mercyhurst's Ryan Wolk, who previously achieved medalist honors with an impressive 209 total (-7) in a prior tournament. His performance was the only sub-par finish of the competition, highlighting his capabilities on the course. Mercyhurst's varsity squad is also coming off a strong showing, finishing second in a previous tournament, just five strokes behind UMass Amherst.

Golf enthusiasts and supporters are encouraged to attend and witness the collegiate talent on display at this scenic New York venue. The Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational promises to showcase skillful play and sportsmanship, making it an exciting event for all involved.
