PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's tennis team heads to the City of Brotherly Love to compete in the ITA Regional Championship this weekend, hosted by Penn. With the spring portion of the season fast approaching, this tournament will have long-term implications for the season and how the Lakers place at the national level. After strong showings at Youngstown, UNC Wilmington and the NEC tournament earlier this season, the Lakers are looking to have a strong showing in Philadelphia to begin closing out their fall season.

Lakers to Watch
Petar Belosevic has had strong showings in each tournament, continuing his play from the previous season. In both singles and doubles, Belosevic has been able to put together wins and be one of the strongest competitors for the Lakers.

Derek Winsnes has been a solid performer for the Lakers, turning in wins at both Wilmington and Binghamton.

Looking Ahead
To wrap up the fall season, the Lakers head to Cleveland to compete in the Cleveland State Invite, beginning October 30.
