ERIE, Pa. – Mercyhurst rowing head coach Jonathan Rost has announced the hiring of assistant coach Christopher Luff.

Luff joins the Lakers after spending last season as an assistant coach at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.  

Prior to his time at Skidmore, Luff spent four years on the varsity rowing team at Temple University. Luff earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science and gained experience as a Strength and Conditioning intern.

Luff is coming to the Lakers after his second summer coaching with the Ready Set Row – Elite Men's Team, where he helped guide three men's crews to podium finishes at USRowing Summer Nationals.

"Its an exciting time in the Mercyhurst athletic department" Luff said. "I'm excited to help build this team to a brand-new standard."
