Jackson Springs, NC – The Mercyhurst Golf teams wrapped up their respective tournaments today in North Carolina.  The Men's team took to the course at the Lakers Spring Shootout and the Women's team took to the course at the Battle at Brunswick.   

Tournament Overview 

The Men's team finished in 3rd place overall, shooting a combined +59 over three rounds. 

The Women's team finished in 2nd place overall, shooting a combined +99 over two rounds. 

Laker Performances 

Evan Rowane led the Lakers, carding rounds of 73-72-71 to finish even par, placing 2nd place overall. His performance was highlighted by a three-hole stretch on the back nine where he went birdie-eagle-birdie to finish at one under par. 

Olivia Seaman led the Lakers, carding rounds of 88-75 to finish at +19, placing 2nd place overall.  Her performance was highlighted by an eagle on hole 12 where she holed out.    

Other Notable Finishes 

• Aidan Fong – Finished in 7th place at +5 after shooting back-to-back rounds under par. 

• Darien Swanson – Finished in 10th at +10. 

• Alyssa Ballaro – Finished in 3rd place at +20 

• Emily Ferguson – Finished in 11th place at +27.

The Men will return to action at the Carpetbagger Classic, hosted by Binghamton at Worthington Manor Golf Club from March 22-23.    

The Women will return to action at the Cleveland State Invitation, hosted by Cleveland State at Nevel Meade Golf Club.
