Buffalo, NY- Mercyhurst's Softball team is traveling to Canisius for a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader. The Lakers are still searching for their first win of the season and are hoping to find one in this non-conference matchup. 

Laker's Form 
Mercyhurst is currently 0-11 on the season. Their last outing was a series loss to Wagner College. They final game ended in a narrow 2-0 loss. Jazlynn Sanders continues to be a spark of hope for the Lakers' offense. Sanders hit her third home run of the season this past weekend. She also has an OPS of 1.231, nine RBIs, seven hits, and seven runs in her 25 at bats this season. 

Scouting the Golden Griffins
Canisius is currently 7-12 on the season. Their most recent game was a 5-4 win against Colgate University at the UMBC Spring Invite. They have had a tough schedule this season, playing the likes of Penn State and East Carolina. They also have been run ruled five times this season. The Golden Griffins may look to sophomore outfielder Ella Johel for batting against the Lakers. Johel has an OPS of 1.161, 25 hits, 16 runs, 16 RBIs, and four home runs this season in 61 at bats.
