Box Score

Syracuse, NY- Mercyhurst Women's Basketball dropped their rematch with Le Moyne College, 60-58. Though they lead for the majority of the game, the Dolphin's quick attack at the tail-end of the match overtook the Lakers.

How It Happened:

For the first three quarters of the game, Mercyhurst was dominant on both ends of the floor. Both the starting five and the bench players were making impacts, consistently sinking shots and pulling down rebounds under both nets.

The deficit was slim up until the sixth minute of the second quarter, when the Lakers went on a 14-0 run, pulling away from the Dolphins and successfully holding their strong lead up until the final few minutes of the game.

Around the halfway mark of the final quarter, Le Moyne, who had been battling to stay in the game, finally hit their stride. Led by Eli Clark, the team's leading scorer, the Dolphins were able to pull ahead in the last 90 seconds of the match by a mere two points, and held on to this lead until the final whistle.
