Erie, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Men's basketball team is getting set to open their final homestand of the 2024-2025 season. The Lakers will welcome FDU to town for a Thursday night battle. Mercyhurst got the better of FDU on the road earlier this month and will be looking to sweep the season series.

Lakers Rolling:
Mercyhurst will once again look to their dynamic duo of
Aidan Reichert and
Jeff Planutis. The two were held in check last week as the Lakers suffered back-to-back losses on the road. But they'll be looking to turn their luck at home. Mercyhurst has lost just two games in Erie this season and just one against an NEC opponent. The Lakers will be aiming to have their top scorers keep that going. Reichert and Planutis are averaging 29 points a game together, but the Lakers have started to get production from all over.
Shemar Rathan-Mayes is coming off a 19 point performance in which he also recorded four assists.
Bernie Blunt III is also averaging 12 points a game.

Scouting FDU:
FDU has struggled on the road this season as they've won just four games away from Teaneck. But they're looking to cement their position as one of the top teams in conference as the season comes to a close. They'll need to shut down Terrence Brown who's putting up 20 points a game. Brown hasn't been held under 10 points this season. In order to grab a win to put them above .500 in conference play, the Lakers will need to neutralize Brown.

Next Game:
Mercyhurst will welcome FDU to town for their second to last game of the season. Action will kick off at 7:00 p.m. and can all be caught on the NEC Front Row.
