The Lakers capitalized on 20 turnovers by Penn State New Kensington, converting them into 20 points. They showcased a strong presence in the paint, scoring 46 points inside. Mercyhurst's bench contributed significantly, adding 45 points to the total.
Mercyhurst opened the first half with a strong offensive performance, quickly establishing a lead with Jake Lemelman's three-pointer in the first minute. Mykolas Ivanauskas contributed significantly, scoring a jumper and converting two free throws, which helped extend their advantage.
