ON THE HILL
The Lakers enter Saturday's game with a 1-4 record, having faced one of the toughest nonconference schedules in the FCS. Mercyhurst faced four opponents that are currently ranked in the media and coaches top 25.

Mercyhurst has a 1-0 record at Saxon Studium this season. The Lakers secured a convincing 48-14 victory over New Haven the last time they played at home on Sept. 6.

Despite the challenge nonconference stretch, the Lakers still lead the NEC in total offense (361.4), passing offense (257.4), and are third in total defense (375.8).

SCOUTING THE SHARKS
The Sharks come into Saturday's contest with the same overall record as the Lakers at 1-4. Last week, LIU fell to Stonehill in their first NEC game of the season 10-3. The Sharks went 5-of-13 on third down attempts and 1-for-2 in the redzone.

The Sharks are yet to record a passing touchdown on the season, with all seven of their touchdowns this season coming on the ground.

LIU secured their first-ever FBS win over Eastern Michigan this season, downing the Eagles 28-23.
