The Mercyhurst volleyball team is set to host NEC newcomer New Haven for a two game series this weekend, starting on Friday evening. Friday's contest will be the first ever meeting between the Chargers and the Lakers in volleyball. 
 
Previously From The Lakers: 
The Lakers traveled to Brooklyn, N.Y. to play two matches against NEC opponent LIU. Mercyhurst dropped both matches against the Sharks.

The Watchlist:
Julia Shepherd leads the Lakers in kills with 163 and is top five in the NEC with a .285 hitting percentage. In her last two games for the Lakers, she tallied 13 kills, nine blocks and eight digs.

Alia Mastromatteo leads the Lakers with 111 digs, and she tallied her 300th assist last weekend. In her last two games, she tallied 32 assists to go with five digs.

Kaitlin Murphy leads the Lakers with 54 blocks and is top 10 in the NEC with .89 blocks per set. In her last two games, she tallied eight kills and eight blocks.
