How it Happened
Both teams came out trying to find their footing. The Lakers and Blue Devils couldn't get going on the offensive end. Central Connecticut State outshot Mercyhurst 6-3 in the first half, but just two were on goal. Graduate Student
Chelsea Radicia recorded two saves in the first 45 minutes.
The Blue Devils eventually broke the tie in the 63
rd minute when Aoife Horgan beat Radicia with an assist from Stella Orellana. Central Connecticut State added some insurance when Nicolle Santos scored off of a free kick.
Highlights
The Lakers will look to recover from their first home loss under Wall. Until today, Wall held a 11-0-1 record on the Lakers home turf, an impressive feat. Radicia continued to look impressive as she recorded eight saves in the loss.
