Erie, PA- The Mercyhurst Athletic Department has announced the addition of Brienna Roys as their new Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic and Academic Compliance. Roys, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, has most recently served as the Athletic Operations Coordinator at Long Island University (LIU).  

"We are excited to add Brienna to our athletics staff as an Assistant AD for Compliance" said Director of Athletics Joe Spano. As we begin this reclassification to Division I, compliance and eligibility remains one of our top priorities. Brie's experience at the Division I level, as well as her familiarity with the Northeast Conference, will be a huge asset to our department as we transition to DI." 

At Long Island University, Roy's primary responsibilities included compliance monitoring and eligibility certification for 37 teams. In addition to her compliance background, Roys also served as a sport administrator at LIU, overseeing the Women's golf program.  

Prior to LIU, Roys worked in athletics at the University of Pittsburgh, assisting with facilities and operations before directing operations at YMCA facilities.
