Ashland, OH- The Mercyhurst Stunt team went 2-1 this Saturday as they defeated Heidelberg University and the University of Olivet and fell to the University of Kentucky. 

How it Happened: 

Game 1

Mercyhurst started off strong on Saturday sweeping Heidelberg University 11-0. They scored one point in the first quarter and two points in the second quarter to make the score 3-0 heading into the half. This trend continued for the Lakers in the second half as they scored two more points in the third quarter to make the score 5-0 going into the last quarter. Mercyhurst capitalized on their lead in the fourth quarter as they scored six more points to defeat Heidelberg 11-0. 

Game 2

The Lakers had another successful game against the University of Olivet, defeating them 19-0. Mercyhurst started off strong in the first half, scoring one point in the first quarter and three points in the second quarter making the score 4-0 going into halftime. The Lakers could not be stopped in the second half as they pulled away with the lead. They added four more points in the third quarter making their lead 8-0 heading into the fourth quarter. Mercyhurst ran away with the game, as they scored 11 points in the last quarter, dominating Olivet by a score of 19-0. 

Game 3

In the last game of the day, the University of Kentucky took a quick lead as they scored three points over the Lakers in the first quarter. Mercyhurst scored one point in the second quarter as Kentucky scored four points to make the score 1-7 going into the half. The Wildcats ran away with their lead in the second half, scoring four points in the third quarter and 12 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Lakers 1-23.
