Erie, PA-The Northeast Conference announced their 2024 Football Award winners this afternoon, and Cameron Barmore of the Mercyhurst Football team was honored as a first team recipient.  

The fifth-year grad student from Panama, NY led the Laker receiving corps with 71 receptions and 913 yards, which is good for an average of 12.86 yards per catch. 

Barmore also strung together 6 multi-score games this season, totaling 13 touchdowns on the season.  

His numbers not only topped the Lakers charts, but also the conference leaderboard. Barmore led the NEC in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. Those numbers also put Barmore on top of the conference scoring category, as he accumulated 78 total points on the season.  

Barmore will go down in Mercyhurst Football history as the first player to be awarded all-conference recognition at the Division I level. Barmore has one year left of eligibility.
