Both teams displayed strong defensive play, with goaltenders Jorden Mattison and Annelies Bergmann starring in a goaltending duel.

Both teams were held scoreless through three periods and overtime, with Jorden Mattison making 41 saves for Mercyhurst and Annelies Bergmann stopping 34 shots for Cornell.
