After winning both Athlete of the Week and Defensive Player week once already this season, Danielle Grim is again honored as the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week. Grim leads the Laker defense that has proven to be a stingy bunch. Through 18 games, the Lakers have held opponents to under 60 points a game on average. The perimeter defense has also been stout as opposing offenses only shoot it at 23% from beyond the arc.  

Not only does Grim contribute offensively, averaging 13.2 points per game, but she is relentless on the defensive end. In the last two games, Grim has recorded 18 total rebounds to go along with 6 steals and 3 blocks. Grim has a knack for the ball and her ability to outwork the opposition often leads to extra possessions and points for the Lakers.  

Mercyhurst enters a tough week of play this week as they travel to Gannon University before hosting California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, January 27th.
