First Game

Eliza Reynolds walking and scoring
Anna O'Geen, followed by
Marisa Cartellone also walking and scoring
Cheyenne Hindman.
Francesca Latino hit a double, bringing in
Neena Pietripaolo and Cartellone for two more runs. The Lakers dominated first inning eventually ending it with a 6-0 lead.
The game remained scoreless until the fourth inning when O'Geen hit a single and advanced to second, allowing
Kacie Irwin to score on the throw.
Allison Dejidas then hit a single, scoring O'Geen, and bringing the score to 8-0.
Mercyhurst's strong offense was too much for D'Youville to handle, resulting in quick victory in the first match of the day.
Second Game
The second game of the day started slow, as both teams struggled to get on base early. In the third inning, Mercyhurst took the lead with O'Geen hitting a single down the right field line, allowing Irwin to score. Hindman doubled right after, bringing in O'Geen, followed by Dejidas reaching first on a fielding error by the second base, and scoring Hindman on the error, putting the Lakers in the lead, 3-0. D'Youville fought back in the same inning as they tied the game at 3-3.
In the fourth inning, Mercyhurst regained the lead with
Alexandra Acosta-Reyes stealing second and advancing to third on a throwing error by the catcher, allowing Reynolds to score on the error.
Madison Fry then reached first on a fueling error on the second baseman, as Acosta-Reyes touched home plate, making the score 5-3 in favor of Mercyhurst.
The Lakers didn't slow down and extended their lead to 8-3 in the fifth inning, and continued to dominate in the sixth. Dejidas eventually finished the game as she hit a home run to right field, scoring two more runs, and extending the lead to 11-3.
Mercyhurst's strong offense and D'Youville's errors were the deciding factors in the second game, resulting in a Mercyhurst victory after just six innings.
