STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Lakers faced the Penn State Nittany Lions today, Mar. 4, 2023, in the 2023 CHA Final.

The Lakers fell in an OT heartbreaker, 1-2.

How it Happened

First Period

The period saw no penalties or goals. Makayla Javier led the team with two blocks while Megan McKay tallied two shots on goal. 

Ena Nystrøm was a wall, stopping six shots from entering the net.

Second Period

The Nittany Lions capitalized on the first goal of the game at 4:20.

At 11:38, Liliane Perreault took the draw and gave it to Sara Boucher. She found the back of the net to score her 50th career goal. The game was now a tie. 

Third Period

No goals were scored in the third, with Nystrøm saving 12 shots on goal.
