ALLENDALE, Mich. - It was a Laker showdown as Mercyhurst Women's lacrosse faced #11 Grand Valley State today, Mar. 19, 2023. 
The team fell in a 2-17 loss.
Quarter One
Grand Valley was able to get onto the board first, but Whitley Easton was able to capitalize on the deficit at 1:09.
The team recovered four ground balls and won two ground controls. 
Quarter Two
Marlee Antinora earned her third of the season with a snipe right into the net at 10:30. Captain Victoria Gottorff was on the assist. 
Mercyhurst was 100% on their clears and recovered two more ground balls. Mackenzie Murphy was also able to cause a turnover. 
Quarter Three
Mercyhurst didn't put any on the board this quarter, but they were able to win two ground controls. 
Quarter Four
Amanda Bailey was able to cause a turnover allowing the team to recover two ground balls in the quarter. Mercyhurst was also 75% on clears, while Paige Maneri made a pair of saves.
Highlights

Four Lakers caused turnovers. 
Mercyhurst was 12-15 on their clears.
On the Horizon
The team will return home to begin PSAC play on Mar. 22, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. against IUP.
