Looking Back
Last weekend, the Lakers secured two big shutouts against West Liberty. In the 10-0 shutout, the Lakers had a great offensive game. Neena Pietripaolo had two RBI singles to help extend the Laker's lead in both the fourth and fifth innings. In the game against Mount Olive, Kaci Alderson had a home run in the sixth inning but ultimately, the Lakers fell to Mount Olive 9-2.
No-Hitter
Freshman Alexa North had an outstanding game in the Lakers 10-0 win over West Liberty. North pitched five innings while walking just one, striking out seven, and keeping the counterpart hitless. The native of Haskins, Oh. set down 13 batters in a row to finish the game as she had found her rhythm. She had her best frame in the third, strikeout out the side as North showed off her dominance on the diamond.
