Boston, Mass. - College Hockey America has announced their Players of the Month for September and the list features two Lakers.  

Earning Forward of the Month honors is sophomore forward Thea Johansson. In four games during the month of September, the Ljungby, Sweden native tallied four goals and three assists for seven points. Johansson had at least one point in all four games, including a multi-point game against Post and St. Lawrence. She currently leads the CHA in goals and points.    

Earning Rookie of the Month honors is freshman forward Sofia Nuutinen. In four games, the Vantaa, Finland native tallied one goal and one assist for two points. Nuutinen scored her first career goal in her first career game against Post and followed it up with an assist the following night. 

Johansson, Nuutinen and the Lakers return to action this weekend as they host St. Cloud State for a weekend series. Puck drop for Friday is set for 6 PM.
